Travel, tourism and hospitality businesses, operators will learn how to leverage Alberta’s new brand story to attract business, visitors in series of workshops to be held in key tourism areas across the province in April 2012.
VANCOUVER (January 31, 2012) – Travel Alberta, the tourism marketing agency of the Government of Alberta, Canada, has engaged BB&Co Strategic Storytelling to communicate its new brand story to travel, tourism and hospitality industry business leaders across Alberta, via a series of interactive Storytelling Workshops. This series of six workshops, which will be conducted in key tourism areas across the province, are slated to take place in April 2012.
The purpose of the workshops are to help travel industry stakeholders in Alberta understand the new tourism Alberta brand story, see how their individual businesses fit within it and how their business helps bring that story to life for tourists and visitors to the province.
“It is one thing to develop a new brand story and push it out into the marketplace. It’s another thing entirely to pull key stakeholders into that story, get them to embrace it as their own and see their role in bringing it to life. Travel Alberta wisely wants to make certain their new brand story lives in the hearts and minds of those working within the tourism industry so that it can come to life for the multitudes of tourists coming to their province – and we’re happy to help them do just that,” said Bill Baker, founder and principal of BB&Co.
“Bill is just masterful at connecting with an audience and in his ability to make the art of brand building through storytelling something everyone can relate to by breaking it down into manageable steps and offering relevant examples,” said Marty Eberth of Travel Alberta. “I have no doubt this workshop will inspire our members and equip them with the information they need to bring the authentic experience of Alberta fully to life for the thousands of people who visit us each year.”
Vancouver-based BB&Co has helped business leaders of organizations such as Relais & Châteaux, Johnson & Johnson and GE as well as the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport, the University of British Columbia and others, advance their brands, businesses and people through strategic storytelling.
